Prayer

We believe that prayer changes things!

We’ve noticed that prayer makes an extraordinary difference. So the HeyMaldon churches are aiming to make it fundamental to our personal relationship with God and our life together, as well as praying for the needs of our world.

Why not explore the opportunities we offer to nurture prayerfulness in your life, in privacy and with others?

  • Pray 50

Born out of 50 consecutive days of prayer between Easter and Pentecost 2024, Pray 50 is the engine room of our church life.

Join us on Tuesdays from 6.30–7.30pm to pray for our vision, our mission, our communities and our world. Each of our churches take turns to host — contact Heather to find out where it will be this week.

  • Pray and Do

Often our prayers spring out of what we’re doing as we serve God in a church team or meet with others to read the Bible and chew over its message for us.

Being with others who pray is a great way to learn how to pray and it helps keep us spiritually fit. Get in touch with Heather for more details.

  • Silent Prayer

The great thing about silent prayer is we can do it anywhere and God listens. But because life gets distracting, we make sure that All Saints Maldon is open every day for anyone to come in and chat with God or just be still in His presence.

There’s also a prayer tree, on which you can write or draw your prayers, as well as candles to light. They remind us that Jesus is the light that overcomes darkness and He is praying continually for us. Thus, as they burn down, they signify a sacrifice of thanksgiving and prayer that is both God’s and ours. He meets us there.

  • Prayer Ministry

Sometimes it’s good to pray with others in a much smaller setting. After all, Jesus said ‘Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there.’ If you would like to share a burden and have a couple of experienced people stand with you, without fuss, in prayer, there’s no better place than in church.

Some of our services have a special emphasis on prayer for healing, but at the end of every service there are always a team who will be willing to pray with you, be it for guidance, healing, thanksgiving or something else. Just ask one of the leaders if it isn’t announced.
