Welcome to
St Giles Langford
A village church with a wide reach: Growing hope and faith in every generation
The outstanding hospitality of St Giles’ is earning a bit of a reputation. And while some come to see the only medieval western apse in the UK, others have stayed because they’re sensing angels here.
The services are fairly traditional and yet relaxed enough for us all to be ourselves and come as we are before God. Our organists and singing group ensure our sung worship is apt and uplifting.
Afterwards we relax together with delicious homemade refreshments because it gives us time to make new friends and check in on old ones.
St Giles attracts worshippers from beyond the village but loves to add value to local life with Christmas and summer events, concerts and making a difference by contributing generously with our time and skills. We see faith as being for every day of the week.
Worship at St Giles Langford
Join us at our service this Sunday.
Holy Communion
Sundays, 9.30am
Walk through the village to the front door, or park behind the church and pop in to discover this unique and ancient church and its sincere patterns of worship. Adults and children of all ages are welcome (as are well-behaved dogs). The church has a lovely vibe and acoustic, which helps our singing and conversation, while we aim to make our services relevant, bible-focussed and prayerful.
Benjamin, who is 5 and counting, comes to church with his dad and Grandad. Ask him where the toys are and he’ll show you – unless he is helping out the priest with various duties. He’s a good reason for short, interactive sermons.
